All mineral foundations are not created equally. Many store brands makeup foundation claim to be "made with" or "infused with" minerals or mineral pigments. This is great marketing, and sounds good, but if you read the ingredient list, often times you will see that the minerals are a very small percent of the product.
The FDA requires ingredient lists to be listed in order of predominance. So, the first ingredient comprises the largest percent of that product, on down to the last ingredient which is normally less than 1% of that product.
It's important to learn to read makeup ingredient lists. Most minerals are fairly easy to pronounce. Chemicals generally have complicated names and are hard to pronounce! To learn more, feel free to explore our "About Ingredients" page on our site.
